Custom Murals with Heart: How My Folk Art Style Found a Home in Hamilton City Hall

A little over a month ago, I was finishing the last strokes of my #HamOnt mural for @commonhousecafehamont inside @cityofhamilton City Hall.

It’s a pretty unique opportunity to paint a custom mural for your hometown! This opportunity came about after I completed the Starter Company Plus program through the @hamiltonbusinesscentre. I’m so glad I took a chance on my business because look at all that’s come out of it! Painting murals was in the long term goals section of my business plan but I was able to start them within a year of completing the program. And what a full circle moment to then go paint for the City. Seriously, so so cool.

My design was a mix of my traditional style inspired by Salvadoran folk art, blended with all the suggestions I got about the things that remind us of Hamilton.

Looking to add bold, meaningful art to your space? I’m currently booking mural projects for May — DM me or visit the link in my bio to get started! 💃🏽
